Life Coaching and Weight Loss


When a person who is overweight goes on a diet without changing their self image, any weight loss will be temporary and the weight that is lost will be found.



What if your weight was merely a SYMPTOM of deeper issues that are going on inside of you?

People who have never struggled with weight and food issues can’t really understand what it’s like. They say, “Just eat less and exercise, and you’ll lose weight.” But it’s not that simple, is it?

How many times have you gone on a diet and lost weight? And how many times have you regained the weight after you went off the diet? If you’re like most dieters, you’ve done it a LOT! Have you not learnt yet that what is lost can be found again.

Diets can only work temporarily because they don’t address the root cause of overeating and emotional eating, and this root cause is the same for almost everyone of my clients.  It will cause you to eat when you’re not hungry and it will trigger strong cravings for junk food, sweets, and fried food.

And all of these inner urges keep you feeling out of control.

Do any of these describe you?

  • For years you have felt out of control when it comes to food and your body.

  • You have struggled to lose weight (or struggled to keep it off when you did lose it).

  • You have eaten emotionally because of stress, sadness, boredom and anxiety.

  • You have resisted eating “healthy” foods.

  • You have avoided exercise, or forced yourself to do it but didn’t enjoy it.

  • You have experienced strong feelings of shame and embarrassment about your body.

  • You have felt angry and disappointed because you have “let yourself go”.

  • You’ve set rules around food, I won’t eat after 7pm, I won’t eat junk but then the emotional eating kicks in and you break all your rules which leaves you feeling ashamed, frustrated, guilty and hating yourself that little bit more.

  • You self esteem is at rock bottom because of your food battles

  • You just feel trapped and you can’t see a way out

  • You can’t stop thinking about food

Diet and weight loss programs are NOT permanent solutions. You can lose weight on them, but if you don’t resolve the inner issues that caused you to gain weight in the first place, that weight is just going to come back, again and again.

If you have been dieting off and on for years, you may be starting to sense the ineffectiveness of the programs. It’s NOT you that is the problem.

  • Something is wrong with you because you just can’t seem to “get it right”?

  • Too much time is passing and you’re still not making progress?

  • You’ll NEVER reach your goals and your entire life will pass you by?

These are all common feelings in people who are out of control when it comes to food, their bodies and their weight. Even if you don’t have a lot of weight to lose, you may have a compulsive relationship with food, and that can cause just as much turmoil as being overweight!

Unfortunately, weight and food issues don’t just affect your BODY; they affect your WHOLE LIFE.

They affect your overall sense of happiness. They affect your career and income. They affect your relationships. They affect your physical well-being. Pretty much every area of your life is impacted by weight and food issues.

When you clear all of the inner chaos relating to your weight, food and body image, EVERY area of your life benefits too.

So… how do you clear that “inner chaos”?

It’s a lot easier than you may think and it doesn’t involve FOOD or EXERCISE.

Weight Loss

You see successful weight loss doesn’t come down to dieting, it comes down to not having to eat to cope anymore.  Food is not your anti sadness, anti loneliness or anti anxiety pill.  If you don’t find things to be passionate about in life, your creative energy will be forced into unproductive things like eating, arguing with your spouse and watching TV constantly.  Your life actually depends on you finding things that make your heart sing.  What are your Dreams?  What are you passionate about?  What makes you happy?

Remember weight does not dictate your WORTH, you are a very valuable and beautiful person inside and out.  No matter what you weigh you are still the same person inside.  My heart is to see you loving yourself unconditionally, because when you do, then you will treat yourself with loving kindness.  It’s hard to be happy when someone is mean to you all the time (that someone is probably you) am I right?
